As a culmination of a our year long Compass project in communities across the county, Dance in Devon presents a special series of four unique performances in four different localities which are certain to be memorable events.
Former Royal Opera House associate choreographer Freddie Opoku-Addaie is bringing exceptional and surprising dance into the heart of four Devon Communities.
The flagship piece "Bespoke" is an adaptation of Opoku-Addaie's Royal Opera House ROH2 Commissioned piece "Absent Made Present".

In an amazing addition to the event, dancers from the local community will share the same stage as visiting guest stars from the Royal Ballet who will perform pieces from their own repertoire.

This unprecedented event will feature a surprising collaboration between Opoku-Addaie and a craft artist from the local area. During a one week period of work in the community, the performance will be adapted to include the local craft artist, who will be part of creating work on stage during the performance on the night.
Community involvement is a key part of the Tour, and it is of great excitement that local artists and dance groups from around Devon will perform in the same show as high profile performers.
These will truly be events for the community; by the community and we invite YOU to come and support high quality dance reaching small rural communities like these!
